In his poem “The Moon,” the Scottish novelist Robert Louis Stevenson wrote, “The moon has a face like the clock in the hall; she shines on thieves on the garden wall.”

NASA says skywatchers will be treated to a dozen full moons, a total lunar eclipse, and three supermoons in October, November, and December 2025. The next blue moon - a second full moon in a calendar month - will occur on May 31, 2026.
